Love Thy Neighbor Initiative

Here's What to Expect During In-Person Worship

Service Time

In order to accommodate Sunday School(s) and a smooth check in process, service will now begin at 11am. Seating will begin at 10:30am, so we would like to encourage you to arrive early.

Love Thy Neighbor: A Safer Reopening

Our team will be cleaning and disinfecting the church before and after service. If weather permits, we will leave entrances open so there is no need to touch door handles.

Our team will be vigilant about cleaning and wiping down common spaces, such as bathrooms, and other touchpoints. You will also notice hand sanitizing stations in common areas as well as Love Thy Neighbor signs around the church to help you follow our safety guidelines.

Registering for Services

Because we are operating at a limited capacity, registration is required to attend Sunday service until further notice. Registration will be available every Tuesday before service at 9 a.m. on the Omega Baptist Church website (omegabaptist.org). Once you have registered, you will be required to choose a seat for you and your family. Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation via email. Please have that email ready at the time of service so that you can be seated as quickly as possible.

If you do not have access to a computer or internet services, please call the church at 937-278-5622. Someone will be available to assist you with registration during normal church hours (Tuesday-Friday; 9am-4:30pm).

Attending Service

Check-in for service will begin at 10:30am every Sunday. Upon arrival, please only use the Salem Ave doors to enter the building and please follow the Love Thy Neighbor signs throughout the entrance. Check in will take place at the front door and, as stated, please come prepared with your confirmation email in hand or on your mobile device.

Once checked in, a member of our Welcome team will assist you with finding your seat. Here are a few additional guidelines to follow from our Love Thy Neighbor campaign:

  • Please distance yourself six feet away from those who are not in your family

  • Please avoid physical contact such as hugging, handshaking, etc.

  • Masks are required for all attendees

  • Everyone will worship together, including our children!

  • Please refrain from gathering at the altar; remain at your seat for prayer and worship

  • In an effort to minimize movement in the sanctuary, we will not be passing baskets or processing down the aisles for tithes and offering, so please continue to give virtually

  • At the end of service, please exit the sanctuary as soon as you can so that cleaning and disinfecting can begin immediately.

  • If you are feeling sick or tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home

Virtual Service

We understand that some of you may not feel comfortable returning to church gatherings just yet, and we stand by and respect your decision! Please continue to join us by streaming service on our website or Facebook Live.

We also want to THANK YOU for your unwavering support, your prayers, and patience as we all continue to navigate what we consider the “new normal”. We love you, We need you, and we look forward to worshipping with you.
