The Seven Principles of an Effective Church
The seven principles for an effective church guide and govern Omega, its staff and its ministries. These organizing principles serve to ensure that every member and every ministry of Omega takes seriously the business of "discipling".
Each principle is designed to assist members and ministries in developing personal, lifelong relationships with Jesus, live transformed Christ-like lives, and carry out Christ's mission in the home, the church, and the world.
- Edification
The spiritual maturation of the believer (Romans 14:19 ~ Ephesians 4:11-16)
- Education
Study to show thyself approved (2 Timothy 2:15)
- Evangelism
The great commission: Spread the Good News (Matthew 28:18-20)
- Empathetic Fellowship
Find more ways to be a church family (Ruth 1:16)
- Effective Administration
Let all things be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40)
- Economic Development
Share economic resources; support each other (Acts 4:31-35)
- External Impact
Let our Christian lifestyles be visible at all times (Matthew 25:31-40)
