Omega Mission Statement

A People Empowered by the Holy Spirit to Serve Families, Communities, and the World

Omega Vision Statement

Created by the Omega family
in 1995

In the next five years, Omega will become a church with an active membership of 2,500 families. We will have an annual budget of three million dollars. We will be a seven-day-a-week church with programming, education, and ministry running from 6AM until 10PM every day of the week.

What We Believe

Our doctrine is based first and foremost on the belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as Savior. The activity of God, the Creator, in coming down in the flesh as Jesus Christ and dying for our sins has given us salvation and an opportunity to eternal life. Through God's grace, we have been given the gift of life. For this gift, we give thanks, and declare Jesus as Lord in our lives.

A Baptist Congregation

We are a gathering of persons who have experienced four things:

  1. A Regenerate Heart
A change in heart which has called you out from a sinful way of living, thinking and acting to a spiritual way of living, thinking, and acting.
  2. A Confession of Faith
A verbal declaration of the total belief that Jesus is the Son of the Living God, our Lord and Savior.
  3. A Believer's Baptism
A ritual which is a symbolic declaration of the change in heart. We go down completely in the water and bury the old sinful way of living, thinking, and acting; raised up from the water in the newness of life with a new way of living, thinking, and acting.
  4. A Calling to Live a Christian Life
An external demonstration of a change of heart in the way that I live.

Conventions

Omega belongs to the American Baptist Churches, USA (ABC-USA), and the Progressive National Baptist USA (PNB) Associations - we are dually affiliated. As members of these two associations, we participate annually in the ABC-USA and the PNB Conventions. Locally, we participate in the Dayton Area Baptist Association (DABA).

We are a people of spiritual insight, a people of vision.
